Today, it is difficult to imagine life without a computer or TV and other electronic gadgets that have become so common since the advent of modern technology it is leaving us and our children with little time to enjoy nature and the outdoors. Not so long ago, parents dampen the pleasure of seeing their children cavorting in nature under the sun or climb trees and by somewhat more active than today’s kids who have found the virtual world where still engrossed. Thus, technology and obesity are closely linked, because we have now become accustomed to having our eyes glued to a computer screen or a TV screen and another record with different types of electronic entertainment.

Boob-Tube And More Boob-Tube

new lifestyle that has taken the lives of our children leaves little time for them to practice, go out and be otherwise active and it is removed lifestyle our parents enjoyed years ago. Combined with a sedentary life that our children have become accustomed to, technology and obesity have become intertwined and our concern for our health has taken a backseat as life in front of the boob-tube continues to pick up all the children of our time at the expense of their health.

It is therefore important to understand the reason why technology and obesity are going hand in hand, and when one considers the fact that childhood obesity has gone up by more than three times recently, the problem has actually now reached epidemic and it seems that now we cultivate obesity in our homes that we are letting our children spend all their time in front of the TV or other electronic devices.

The fact is that when we and our children sit motionless for hours watching TV or working on the computer or playing video games, failure to exercise and a diet consisting of soft drinks and fast foods grown obesity as never before. Thus, technology and obesity causes our children to eat more, exercise less and live a sedentary a cocktail that just serves more obese children in our population today.

No doubt, there are a number of other factors also contribute to obesity, but television is a good example of how technology and obesity combined at the expense of our health. Staying glued to the TV will mean a lack of exercise, focusing on excessive eating followed by an unhealthy lifestyle, thus contributing to the strengthening of obesity in our children.

Television and computers are prime examples of how technology and obesity are to make kids do things that are bad for them and if you want your kid to not become obese, you should discourage him from watching too much television, which is a major reason why children become obese, and also to address obesity as a health problem that needs to be addressed and not to consider obesity as just be a problem with how the baby looks.
